Review Moderation Policy

ChooseMyCompany is open to everyone; anyone is free to participate, anonymously or with identification. We have chosen prior moderation in order to prevent abuse (defamation, insults, disparagement, etc.). Reviews submitted are therefore subject to validation before being published online; those that do not comply with certain basic rules (set out below) are moderated.

1. Moderation Principles

Reviews on ChooseMyCompany are subject to prior moderation by several contributors, including human resources professionals.

Moderators are present every day and can be alerted at any time by Users.

Moderators monitor and organize reviews. Their role is not to censor but to ensure that comments remain courteous, respectful and, above all, compliant with applicable laws. Moderators may therefore immediately delete messages that are:

  • insulting, defamatory, disparaging…
  • unfair or encouraging unfair practices
  • advertising or promotional in nature
  • racist, homophobic…
  • containing names, addresses, email addresses or phone numbers
  • unintelligible, off-topic, or posted in multiple discussions simultaneously.

This list is not exhaustive. ChooseMyCompany reserves the right to delete messages that do not necessarily fall within one of these categories.

The conditions for banning a User vary depending on the case (severity of the comments, frequency of disruption, profile, etc.).

Internet users who openly glorify crimes against humanity, incite racial hatred, violence, or attacks against human dignity, engage in child pornography, or repeatedly publish advertisements are automatically banned and their messages deleted, without prior notice.

Depending on the topic, internet users are invited to consult the specific guidelines applicable to certain discussion forums and the warning messages regularly posted by moderators.

However, ChooseMyCompany generally strives to notify the concerned internet users with a warning before any sanction.

Users who may feel concerned, surprised or shocked by certain messages may directly send an email to the following address: moderateur{'@'}ChooseMyCompany.

Users acknowledge that ChooseMyCompany assumes solely the responsibility of a technical service provider as defined in Article 6 of the French Law for Confidence in the Digital Economy (LCEN) with respect to content produced by Users, and that:

  • ChooseMyCompany assumes no responsibility for the quality and legal compliance of content of any kind (texts, sounds, videos, graphics, photos or others) freely produced by Users
  • ChooseMyCompany may, in accordance with its legal obligations, remove said content after a third party has asserted the unlawful nature of the content concerned
  • ChooseMyCompany shall, in accordance with its legal obligations and upon formal request from judicial authorities, communicate the elements enabling the identification of Users who contributed to such content.

2. Usage Guidelines

Users must remain polite and respectful of others' opinions. On these forums, no topic is taboo, but some may be sensitive. Contributions must therefore be made without prejudice, without insults, and using appropriate language.

It is unnecessary (and prohibited, under penalty of deletion) to publish the same review multiple times.

We advise Users to remain cautious when choosing to provide their email address.

If you express criticism, it must have been previously verified and therefore be, to the best of your knowledge, truthful and accurate.

We remind you that any message may be read and used by anyone and may be reproduced and quoted once your review is published.

3. Abuse

Users are solely responsible for the information, messages, images and, more generally, any content they disseminate through reviews or information collection spaces.

ChooseMyCompany may, without prior notice, take the initiative to delete, in whole or in part, any content published in reviews if such content is likely to violate applicable laws and regulations or public decency.

In the event of repeated abuse, ChooseMyCompany reserves the right to file a complaint and will make the IP addresses of the Users concerned available to judicial authorities.
