Why a ranking score?
The ranking score highlights the companies that have the best performance on the HappyIndex®Trainees survey.
But this performance must be reliable and representative, so the participation rate in the survey is strongly taken into account.
How is the HappyIndex®Trainees ranking calculated?
Each trainee can spontaneously answer the HappyIndex®Trainees survey on ChooseMyCompany or on the occasion of a survey solicited by his employer.
This survey containing 18 questions allows to calculate 2 values:
The ranking score is equal to the "survey's score" multiplied by 2, then weighted by participation rate and recommendation rate:
* About the number of respondents
If the survey is conducted in a solicited way by the employer, the respondents are those who took part in the survey proposed by the employer, open between 01/10 and 30/09
If the survey is conducted spontaneously, the respondents are those who spontaneously gave their opinion on ChooseMyCompany
** About headcount
If the ranking is France, then it is the number of trainees of more than 3 months welcomed each year in France between 01/10 and 30/09
This number is published on the company's page and can be modified freely by the employer directly in his back office (ask us here)

Each trainee can spontaneously answer the HappyIndex®Trainees survey on ChooseMyCompany or on the occasion of a survey solicited by his employer.
This survey containing 18 questions allows to calculate 2 values:
- The average of the 18 questions, which is a grade / 5 and which is called "the survey's score"
- A recommendation rate, which is a % of students who answered "agree" or "strongly agree" to the question "I recommend my company to a friend to do an internship there"
- The participation rate in the survey is also calculated as follows: number of respondents* / headcount**
The ranking score is equal to the "survey's score" multiplied by 2, then weighted by participation rate and recommendation rate:
- If the participation rate is greater than or equal to 50%, then the coefficient is 1. As soon as this rate decreases, then the coefficient decreases and degrades the survey's score.
- If the recommendation rate is greater than or equal to 75%, then the coefficient is 1. As soon as this rate decreases, then the coefficient decreases and degrades the survey's score.
- The formula is 2 × HappyIndex × participation rate × recommandation rate
