En 1952, Hubert de Givenchy ouvre sa maison de couture, après avoir été modéliste chez les plus grands couturiers de l'époque.

L'année 1953 est marquée par une rencontre déterminante, celle d'Audrey Hepburn qui incarne son idéal féminin. Leur amitié profonde et précieuse illuminera plus de 40 années de création imprégnées des traditions d'excellence de la haute couture.

Au fil des ans, la société a diversifié ses activités dans le prêt-à-porter de luxe féminin puis dans la mode masculine et les accessoires. Givenchy a rejoint le groupe LVMH en 1988. En 1995, Hubert de Givenchy se retirait après 43 ans de création.

Givenchy est aujourd’hui une marque de luxe reconnue mondialement pour ses collections de haute couture, de prêt-à-porter féminin et masculin et ses accessoires. Ancrée dans la tradition de la haute couture, la Maison incarne avec audace l’élégance à la française.

Depuis 2005, Riccardo Tisci est le Directeur Artistique de Givenchy, en charge des collections de Haute Couture, Prêt-à-porter et Accessoires. Son talent, sa créativité très contemporaine et l'élégance de ses créations accompagnent la Maison Givenchy dans le futur.
