The ranking score highlights the companies that have the best performance on the ImpactIndex® survey. But this performance must be reliable and representative, so the participation rate in the survey is strongly taken into account.
How is the ImpactIndex® ranking calculated?
Each employee can spontaneously answer the ImpactIndex® survey on ChooseMyCompany or on the occasion of a survey solicited by his employer. This survey containing 20 questions allows to calculate 2 values:
The average of the 20 questions, which is a grade / 5 and which is called "the survey's score"
A recommendation rate, which is a % of employees who answered "agree" or "strongly agree" to the question "I recommend my company to a friend to work there"
The participation rate in the survey is also calculated as follows: number of respondents* / headcount**
The ranking score is equal to the "survey's score" multiplied by 2, then weighted by participation rate and recommendation rate:
If the participation rate is greater than or equal to 50%, then the coefficient is 1. As soon as this rate decreases, then the coefficient decreases proportionally and degrades the survey's score.
If the recommendation rate is greater than or equal to 0%, then the coefficient is 1. As soon as this rate decreases, then the coefficient decreases proportionally and degrades the survey's score.
The formula is 2 × HappyIndex × participation rate × recommandation rate
* About the number of respondents If the survey is conducted in a solicited way by the employer, the respondents are those who participated in the most recent survey (no later than the last 01/10) If the survey is conducted spontaneously, the respondents are those who spontaneously gave their opinion on ChooseMyCompany
** About headcount If the ranking is France, then the France headcount is taken into account. This number is published on the company's page and can be modified freely by the employer directly in his back office (ask us here)
